After budgeted stays for the most of our trip, we splurged on this night stay and it was absolutely worth it. The room was spacious with a beautiful view in a traditional Japanese style and they had yukatas for women. It was a cute touch to wear that and walk around. The hotel is located right next to the lake which offers a stunning view. The view of Mount Fuji is great too. I tried the public jacuzzi and the paid private onsen and absolutely loved the jacuzzi. The dinner and breakfast were a really nice traditional Japanese experience. Although a bit much for me in terms of raw fish so I had kept some back up snacks in my room from 7 eleven which I munched on later at night. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We were too tired to venture far out to see what else was available nearby and just enjoyed the views around the property and it was the highlight and the most relaxing part of our trip!

I love the location, it is about 5 minutes away from the main town which is a plus as it is really quiet and relaxing then. Plus the fact that it is in front of a lake and with Mt Fuji on the side, you can’t beat that kind of feeling. The kaiseki was phenomenal and so gorgeous, the staff was amazing and accommodating despite the language barrier, but the warmth of the Japanese people is here as they try their best to connect and communicate with my needs. The room is something that needs to be praised - it is very well maintained and preserved, the tatami mats are so clean and the hot bath outside is *chef’s kiss* very wonderful experience indeed. I would definitely come back here.

Great location with both a Lake and Fuji view - made for beautiful breakfast scenery and we sat in awe looking at Mt Fuji from our room. I know a few older reviews mentioned the facilities are older (which they are) but I thought they added to the charm and appreciated the Kotatsu and heated toilet. The staff also made sure everything was ready for us at checking including tea that was already made and the bath already filled. The walkthrough was also extreme helpful! Finally, they now serve coffee at breakfast which means they have read the reviews! We didn’t get to see Mt Fuji the first day but the room was well worth it for the following day

The staff was superb, they tried to assist the guests in whatever way they could. The rooms were spacious and kept very tidy by the cleaning staff. The hotel itself is a bit outdated but it was well-kept. A shuttle to the bus/train station was provided for the guests. You may also call the hotel if you wish to be picked up from the same station. The bus station and a beautiful park are just in front of the hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast that they served. Lake Kawaguchi is just across the building and they have a deck that provides a great view of Mt. Fuji, perfect for taking photos.

Lovely Japanese style room, private open bath was fantastic with a beautiful view of Mt Fuji. Lovely roof top terrace with a great view of Fuji. Room had traditional tea ceremony set, fridge and toiletries that you need. We went half board and the Kaiseki dinner and breakfast were both fantastic experiences, an enormous amount of traditional food at each served by the sweetest lady. You also get traditional clothing to wear to dinner which was great. Lovely and quiet location. Handy transfer to the station.
